no knurling on the top surface, which we all use to press down. SIG's knurling of the side of the lever, which provides near zero benefit as nobody uses it, is peculiar vs. The de-cocker is easy enough to find and push - no problem there. My thick fingers prefer the smaller controls, in general, though not without a caveat. Would you have paid Less for the obvious changes incorporated in the Legion, if it was available without the secret handshake and silly collectors coin? Not even getting into the well documented problems and changes that the weird frame colors have gone through.ĭon’t even get me started on the M11-A1 fake grips and cute little sticker. Here is the test, for those who are willing to be honest with their answers. It’s not like Sig hasn’t done that before, with Elites, Combats, Scorpions……… Any of the “improvements” offered on either the Legion or M11-A1, could have been offered without the hokie name.

Of course it was a marketing gimmick, what isn’t? The M11-A1 with the fake P228 grips was a marketing gimmick too. Having already tried the tiny parts, and not caring for them, I chose to alter the select grips to work with the original parts.

I bought a set of select grips, a couple years ago, for a P226. I did put P224 controls on a P229, just for grins and giggles. My experience with standard controls has never been an issue, so making them smaller would fall under the category of non issue. Having bought a BDA new, I’ve been shooting Sigs for a long time.
